Within the framework of its “factory of the future” project, PSA Group decided to acquire a big data solution to support its overall energy efficiency strategy throughout its industrial scope. With its “blu.e pilot®” digital energy efficiency platform, ENGIE will enable PSA Group to measure and autonomously monitor its Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs). The big data study of influencing factors and the operation of its facilities will be used to optimize the energy management of the sites covered, especially through the identification and application of operational best practices.
An operational industrial big data platform
The blu.e pilot® platform covers all links in the value chain, from data capture and history to their processing and formatting within business interfaces. It is interoperable with all data sources and industrial information systems on the market. With this technology, Blu.e by ENGIE leverages the platform’s ease of use and adaptability to meet the challenges of rapidly evolving technologies: a springboard to PSA Group’s factory of the future.

Poissy pilot site
In 2017 at the Poissy facility, a pilot project was launched with the aim of showing how users could take ownership of the solution and of measuring the expected quantitative and qualitative gains. For the entire duration of the project, Blu.e is providing PSA Group with a dedicated multidisciplinary project team. It will be able to handle all technical, energy-related and managerial aspects of PSA Group’s project. The main challenges in 2017 will be the successful management of the solution’s technical deployment, its adoption by PSA Group’s business users for all types of utilization, profitability, and supporting change management.
